SESSIONAL AFTERCARE FACILITATOR
Frontline is seeking a sessional Group Facilitator to be the lead
facilitator of our weekly aftercare programme in our service in Dublin
1 (this is an evening group). The aftercare programme will provide
support to individuals who are drug and alcohol-free and who have
recently completed primary treatment or other. The aftercare programme
is part of the wider Integrated Alcohol Service across CHO9 and
follows a detailed layout and manual.
The aftercare will run for * weeks out of the
year, it will be a rolling group so suitable participants can join at
any time, and it will consist of a mixture of psycho-social,
educational, and social aspects.
The role would suit someone who has a proven track history of group
work and who has a passion for working with people who are impacted by
substance use helping them sustain a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* To be the lead facilitator of Frontline’s weekly aftercare group
* To keep relevant documentation and linkage with stakeholders
* To adhere to the Integrated Alcohol Service guidelines and
protocols
* To attend supervision sessions
* To attend appropriate training, when and where relevant
* To work closely with the co-facilitator including planning and
in-depth pre and post-debriefing of weekly group
EXPERIENCE:
* A minimum of three years’ experience in facilitating groups
* A level 7 in addiction studies
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience of working with people with drug and alcohol issues
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
OTHER
* The individual must be available to deliver a weekly 2-hour session
in our Dublin 1 office or relevant nearby space
* Responsible for filing your own tax returns and relevant
documentation
* Pay negotiable and dependant on experience
